By the age of seven, Jessica weighed an astonishing 222 kilograms (about 490 pounds). She was unable to move on her own and depended entirely on her mother for care. Her condition developed largely due to severe overeating from a very young age.
Jessica’s daily calorie intake reportedly reached around 10,000 calories — far beyond the recommended 1,800 calories for a child her age. Her meals mainly consisted of fast food: pizza, burgers, fries, soda, and other highly processed, calorie-dense foods.
Her mother, who also struggled with obesity, continued giving in to Jessica’s cravings. By the time Jessica was just four years old, she had already surpassed 100 kilograms (220 pounds).
Despite the alarming weight gain, meaningful dietary changes didn’t happen immediately. Eventually, concerned citizens and medical professionals stepped in to help.
With intensive medical supervision, strict nutritional plans, therapy, and dedicated effort over about a year and a half, Jessica managed to lose approximately 140 kilograms (over 300 pounds).
Today, she weighs around 80 kilograms (about 176 pounds). While still above average for her age, the immediate danger to her health has significantly decreased.
However, her journey hasn’t ended. Jessica continues to follow a controlled diet and exercise program. She also faces multiple surgeries to address excess skin and help improve the mobility of her leg joints after years of strain.
