Ross Butler and Alexandra Daddario have been honored as Ambassadors for the prestigious 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Their selection as ambassadors was based on their embodiment of the core values of the acting profession and their status as positive role models for the aspiring generation of performers. In an official statement, it was highlighted that both actors actively leverage their platforms to champion humanitarian causes and engage in public service initiatives.

Ross Butler, at 31 years old, and Alexandra Daddario, aged 35, are set to take center stage during the ceremony. They will not only be presenting awards but also offering viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the proceedings, providing an intimate glimpse into the inner workings of the event, as per SAG.

Beyond their on-screen roles, the ambassadors will also be actively involved in various SAG Awards pre-show activities. These will include their participation in an inaugural private dinner hosted by presenting sponsor Campari, which will be held at the renowned Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant, overseen by SAG Awards executive chef Curtis Stone.

Ross Butler’s impressive career includes notable roles such as Zach Dempsey in “13 Reasons Why,” Brett Willis in “K.C. Undercover,” and Reggie Mantle in the first season of “Riverdale.” He has also appeared in the hit movie “Shazam!” and is set to reprise his role as Adult Eugene in the upcoming sequel. Additionally, he played Trevor in “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” and “To All the Boys: Always and Forever,” with his next project being “Swimming with Sharks.”

Alexandra Daddario, on the other hand, gained fame for her portrayal of Annabeth Chase in the “Percy Jackson” film series. She has since starred in a range of films, including “Texas Chainsaw 3D,” “Baywatch,” and “The Layover.” Recently, she made a significant impact with her role as Rachel in the HBO dramedy series “The White Lotus,” which was renewed for a second season in August.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations were revealed via Instagram last month, with the assistance of Rosario Dawson and Vanessa Hudgens. The nominated works span across various categories, including acclaimed films such as “Don’t Look Up” and “House of Gucci,” as well as popular television series like “Squid Game” and “Ted Lasso.” Among the notable nominees are Cynthia Erivo, Sandra Oh, Steve Martin, and Jennifer Aniston, among many others.

This year, the prestigious SAG Life Achievement Award will be presented to Helen Mirren, marking the 57th recipient of this honor. As of November, the 76-year-old actress holds the distinction of being the most-decorated recipient of the award, boasting a total of 13 SAG Awards nominations and five wins.

The 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards is set to be broadcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, February 27, at 8 p.m. ET, promising an evening of celebration and recognition within the world of acting and entertainment.
