Cristiano Ronaldo Pays a Heartfelt Tribute to ‘King’ Pele Following His Death!
The loss of the football legend is being mourned by the football community. Cristiano Ronaldo gave Pele a heartfelt homage after his departure at the age of 82.
On Thursday, Pele’s family made the news that he had passed away after a protracted fight with cancer. Following his departure, a number of well-known football figures have paid respect to the Brazilian icon.
Ronaldo shared an emotional statement on social media after hearing the news of Pele’s passing. “My profound sympathies to every one of Brazil, and in particular to the family of Mr. Edson Arantes do Nascimento,” he wrote in a message on Instagram.
“The anguish that is currently sweeping the entire football world cannot be adequately expressed with a simple farewell to the everlasting King Pele.
He was a constant reminder and a source of inspiration for countless numbers of people. Every time we were together, even when we weren’t, he always showed me love, and it was reciprocal.
“We football fans will always carry his memories with us, and he will never be forgotten. King Pele, may you now go in peace. Pele has an unrivaled legacy because he is the only player in history to have won three World Cups.
Numerous Brazilian football heroes were inspired by his amazing performances for the Selecao and contributed to the remarkable history of the nation.
