As they awaited his arrival in Saudi Arabia, ecstatic Al-Nasr supporters yelled Cristiano Ronaldo’s name and did his signature ‘Siiiu’ celebration in the stands.

The 37-year-old Portuguese legend, who had a contentious split from Manchester United, has now signed a hefty £175 million-per-year deal to play in the Middle East.

Despite the fact that Ronaldo hasn’t yet joined the team, Al Nasr supporters are obviously eager to see their new hero in action.

Video evidence from Al-Nasr supporters chanting “Ronaldo” in the seventh minute of Saturday’s 1-0 Saudi Pro League victory over Al-Khalij was captured.

Ronaldo before saying “Siiiu,” as has become his custom when celebrating a goal.

There were also Portuguese flags in the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium crowd. Vincent Abubakar’s goal in the fifth minute gave Al-Nasser the victory and put them a point ahead of their rivals at the top of the standings.

This occurred as supporters of Al Nasr gathered to purchase replica shirts that featured Ronaldo and the number 7.

Al Nasr supporters waited in line to purchase the shirts after Ronaldo’s signing was officially announced on Friday following weeks of rumours.

It is uncertain if Ronaldo will make his debut when Al-Nasr plays Altai on Thursday at their 25,000-seat Mussol Park.
